Edwardian House : The heart of the home

before

after

This is a three bedroomed end of terrace house. It has many period features along with several quirks. Our brief was to rework the rear of the house on both levels in order to create an open plan kitchen diner: the heart of the home.

The design includes a new, single storey extension that creates a courtyard between the extension and the original Edwardian house. By placing glass on the roof and both sides of the extension, light and views from the garden are brought into the courtyard.

At first floor level, the bathroom was reworked and a small en-suite added to the master bedroom.
