Tiny Cottage: Big transformation

before

after

This terraced cottage is located in a conservation area of Oxford with views onto mature oak trees. This location is sought after but the cottage is tiny, with one living space, a shower room and a narrow kitchen.

We obtained planning permission to demolish the kitchen and bathroom and build an extension, creating two reception rooms: a snug and a kitchen diner. A guest toilet and utility complete the ground floor.

The existing first floor comprised two double rooms without a bathroom.

A small first floor extension accommodates an en-suite bathroom to the rear bedroom. With careful use of space an en-suite shower was added to the front room.
